We're happy to share that two new colleagues have joined our data science team: Aimee and Nils Petter.

Aimee is a familiar face around here, she first joined us as a winter intern, and we're glad to now have her on board full-time. Between the two of them they bring computer science, cybernetics, autonomous systems and machine learning, and, judging by their spare time, a fairly serious commitment to sport.

They also have something else in common: next year, both of them are moving to Rio de Janeiro.

Meet Aimee

Aimee is a developer at Solution Seeker with a BSc in Computer Science from UiB. Driven by solving complex tech challenges by day, she turns into a competitive badminton player and dedicated sports enthusiast by night. When she isn't watching football or handball matches, you'll find her being social with friends.

Meet Nils Petter

Nils Petter holds an M.Sc. in Cybernetics and Robotics from NTNU in Trondheim, specialising in autonomous systems and machine learning. In his free time he enjoys playing football, bouldering and fishing.

A year in Rio

Aimee and Nils Petter will both be taking part in our Norec exchange, which means spending next year with our team in Rio de Janeiro.

The exchange runs both ways. Our Brazilian colleagues spend their first year at headquarters in Oslo, Sabrina and Bianca are there right now, while colleagues from Norway head south to work alongside the team in Rio.

So: football, bouldering and badminton in Norway this year, and something rather different next year. We hear the futevôlei lessons come highly recommended.

We're thrilled to have Aimee and Nils Petter on board, and we're looking forward to seeing what they build with us, on both sides of the Atlantic.

By the way: our winter internship is open for applications, and it's a good way in, just ask Aimee.
